A once-in-a-lifetime experience to sleep in your very own igloo + northern lights tour! Each igloo is hand-built right on the frozen Torne River which has a perfect, uninterrupted view north. This gives you the best opportunity to watch the northern lights dancing in the sky.
Room information
Your igloo is a traditional hand-built small dome structure. Regardless of the temperature outside, the inside temperature usually varies between -5 and 0 degrees celsius. You will have warm sleeping bags, winter clothes, and lovely reindeer fur on the ground (also for sale at our office in town). Just a short walk from your igloo, you will find Aurora Camp. Here you will have access to the shared shower room, toilet, traditional wood-fire sauna and jacuzzi (ask staff for details).
Igloos are recommended for 1 or 2 adults, however options may be available for 2 adults + 2 children.
The tour includes the following:
- Arrival transfer from Kiruna Guidetur office in town to Aurora Camp
- Northern lights colosseum tour (includes traditional dinner & dessert – vegetarian/vegan options available)
- Warm reindeer fur, sleeping bags and towels
- “Keep warm package” – Snow suit, gloves, socks, boots, balaclava, warm hat
- Continental breakfast in the dining hall in the morning
- Departure transfer from Aurora Camp to Kiruna Guidetur office in town
